RidgeCrest Home Sales is a manufactured and modular home sales center offering turnkey home set up and site construction services for your lot or ours. Curt and Karen Willar opened the doors in November of 2004 at our current location in Howard, PA. Just 10 minutes from Mill Hall and an easy drive from State College, RidgeCrest is conveniently located on Route 150, just one mile outside of Beech Creek.

The idea for RidgeCrest grew out of Karen and her brother, Raymond McGill’s, purchase of Ridge Crest Community, a 105 site single sectional community, from their parents. With few community lots available for new homes, Curt and Karen saw the opportunity to open a full service home sales center. What began as a new venture for Karen quickly became a full time family business for the Willars. In addition to offering manufactured homes, modular construction was added to the list, as well as commercial buildings, and a subdivision offering land & home packages.

With the experience of over 200 homes sold, and a waitlist to move into Ridge Crest Community, the family began looking for more sales and rental opportunities. In December of 2014, The Meadows at Watsontown became our newest land lease community. With lots available for single and multi-sectional homes, and plenty of room for expansion, RidgeCrest Home Sales stepped up to the challenge of attracting new homes and residents to The Meadows at Watsontown.

Their commitment to doing business with honesty and integrity has allowed RidgeCrest to successfully grow, while still remaining a place where you deal directly with the owners. As Karen and Curt look to the future, they’ve lightened their load with the sales of both Ridge Crest Community and The Meadows at Watsontown. Although they continue to offer new homes to residents in both communities, they can now focus solely on new construction projects.

In the spring of 2021, their son, Reed Willar, joined the family business. As a civil engineer following in Curt’s footsteps, he brings his construction knowledge, as well as a fresh perspective, to the business. As RidgeCrest continues in the manner it began, a small, family owned business, our reputation remains key to success, and we strive to provide customer satisfaction before, during, and after the sale!
